MARKET SUMMARY

MGEX HRS closed 3 3/4 to 6 1/4 higher, corn ended 4 1/2 to 4 3/4 lower, soybeans finished 3 1/2 to 4 3/4 cents higher; canola closed $1.90 to $2.70/mt higher.

OUTSIDE MARKETS

The TSX equity index is trading at 12,875, up 64 points, while U.S. markets are also posting small gains. The Canadian dollar is 20 basis points lower at $.9691 CAD/USD, while the U.S. dollar is 0.109 higher at 80.680. Gold has trimmed morning losses, currently $1.60 lower at $1,325.40/ounce.
