Asian stocks were mostly higher, with Japan's Nikkei closing up 2.3%. European markets are trading higher in what is now afternoon trade. Canada's TSX closed higher on Tuesday, despite weaker commodity markets. The trading session ended at 12,577.05, up 47.50. Dow futures are currently 1 point lower in overnight trade suggesting Wednesday's market open could be steady to lower in North America. The Canadian dollar is 34 basis points lower at $.9783 CAD/U.S. dollar. The U.S. dollar is .392 higher at 84.105. Gold is $14.50/ounce lower at $1,410/ounce.
