Outside Markets

Asian equity markets traded mixed on Tuesday. European markets are trading lower with sentiment data in Germany coming in lower than expected. The Nikkei in Japan ended .2% lower at 14,758.42. Canada's TSX closed at 12,529.55, down 59.54 in Monday's trade. Dow futures are trading 35 points lower overnight, pointing towards the possibility of a soft open in North American equities Tuesday. The Canadian dollar is 32 basis points lower at $.9854 CAD/U.S. dollar. The U.S. dollar is .045 higher at 83.410. Gold is $11.40 lower at $1,422.90/ounce.
