Asian markets were quiet with most exchanges closed for a holiday. Japan's Nikkei fell .2% due to a stronger yen. China's Purchasing Managers Index was announced to reach 50.6 in April, down from 50.9 in March, with results over 50 indicating an expanding economy. The TSX reached triple-digit gains on Tuesday, ending the session at 12,456.50, up 143.83, as markets focused on GDP data which exceeded expectations. Dow futures were 9 basis points higher overnight, signaling what should be a firm open in North America Wednesday. The Canadian dollar is 14 basis points higher at $.9928 CAD/U.S. dollar. ...
