Outside Markets

Asian markets traded higher on Monday. Japan's Nikkei, however, closed .9% lower. European markets trading slightly lower. The Canadian TSX closed at 12,816.63 on Friday, 6.99 points lower. Dow futures are up just 7 points in overnight trade, pointing to a steady open in Monday's North American equity markets. The Canadian dollar has continued its plunge below parity, down 18 points to $.9893 CAD/U.S. dollar. The U.S. dollar is up .145 at 79.965. Gold is $2 lower at $1,654.60/ounce. NYMEX crude is 5 cents lower at $95.83/barrel, while Brent crude is 26 cents lower at $113.02/barrel. Chinese soybeans ...
