GENERAL COMMENTS:

Livestock futures have been burdened with triple-digit losses through the morning. The cattle futures are posting the most significant pressure with weakness redeveloping in cash and wholesale beef markets. April live cattle have quickly fallen through previous support levels of $127 per cwt, and potentially setting contract lows depending on the market close. Corn futures are trading mixed at midday in light trade. May corn futures are holding 1 cent loss at midday. Stock markets are lower in light trade. The Dow Jones is 26 points down while Nasdaq is down 3 points.
