GENERAL COMMENTS:

Livestock futures have been contained to narrow, and mixed price moves through Friday morning. The lack of additional strong direction in either cash markets or meat-product values has allowed for sluggish commercial involvement through both cattle and hog markets. Corn futures are trading higher at midday in light trade. March corn futures are holding 5 cent gains at midday. Stock markets are higher in light trade. The Dow Jones is 42 points higher while Nasdaq is up 7 points.
