General Comments:

Corn closed up 4 1/2 cents in the May contract and up 1 3/4 cents in the July. Soybeans closed 16 1/4 cents higher in the May and 14 1/4 cents higher in the July. Wheat closed 13 1/2 cents higher in the May Chicago contract, 19 cents higher in the May Kansas City, and 12 1/4 cents higher in the May Minneapolis. The U.S. dollar index is up 0.22 at 82.82. June gold is down $3 at $1,573 while May silver is $0.04 lower and May copper is $.0290 higher. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is 17 ...
