There are storms both literal and figurative blowing in for those still holding cash corn from 2012.

It is early Thursday morning as I write this column, and the Omaha skies have that ominous, heavy, cottony look that portends the coming Winter Storm Q. By the end of the day Omaha, like much of the U.S. Midwest and Southern Plains, is expected to be buried by up to a foot of snow, moisture that will be eagerly received by producers weary of looking at gray-brown, drought-cracked ground.
