Cash Rent Backlash

OMAHA (DTN) -- Several hundred landowners could be breathing a sigh of relief. Chances are good the majority of the unexpired leases held by Decatur, Mich.-based Stamp Farms LLC will be assumed by the bulk bidder in a recent court-ordered auction, according to an attorney for Stamp Farms. That means back rents will be settled and landowners with above-market rents will escape standing in line with other non-secured creditors.
