INDIANOLA, Iowa (DTN) -- In the soon to be tumultuous world of health insurance, farm employers will have to make some important financial decisions starting Oct. 1.

That's when 50 state health care marketplaces (also called exchanges) will be available online for small businesses and uninsured individuals to shop for health care plans that meet 2014 insurance mandates under the Affordable Care Act (ACA).

The marketplaces' function is to simply list the health plans offered by health insurance companies that choose (and are qualified) to be in your state's marketplace. They'll also show each policy's premium based on the ages ...
