OMAHA (DTN) -- Rain focusing on the eastern Midwest, and continued dryness this week in the southwestern Plains are the primary weather items for the commodity trade's attention Monday.

VARIABLE MIDWEST CONDITIONS

The DTN ag weather forecast calls for variable conditions in the Midwest. A drying trend may allow for increasing field work for the central and northern part of the western Midwest. Elsewhere in the Midwest and through the Delta, more rains are expected Monday and again towards the weekend, likely keeping field work and early planting slow. Warmer temperatures later this week may be short-lived.
