OMAHA (DTN) -- Heavy rain expected to delay fieldwork for the Midwest and limited rainfall chances for the southwestern Plains are the primary weather items for the commodity trade's attention Wednesday.

HEAVY EASTERN MIDWEST RAIN

The DTN Ag Weather forecast calls for heavy rainfall in the southern and eastern Midwest and Delta regions during the next two to three days. This likely will hamper spring fieldwork, especially planting prospects in the Delta and the southeast Midwest areas. The longer range trends continue to suggest drier for the west and additional rainfall for the east.
