OMAHA (DTN) -- Bitter cold and ice storm threat for the Midwest and heavy rain prospects in much of South America are the primary weather items for the commodity trade's attention Thursday.

The DTN ag weather forecast calls for the Midwest to turn sharply colder during the coming days. The southeast portion is also under a threat for a major ice storm Thursday night and Friday.
