OMAHA (DTN) -- Heavy Midwest rain and unfavorable rain in Ukraine are the primary weather items for the commodity trade's attention Friday.

HARVEST-DELAYING MIDWEST RAIN

The DTN ag weather forecast calls for rain, wind and some snow to delay harvest in the Northern Plains and western Midwest. Rain or showers and thundershowers in the east during the weekend may also be somewhat disruptive to the harvest. The weather next week looks somewhat more favorable for harvest; however, there are signs that a new rain system would affect the north-central U.S. region again later in the week.
