Light to moderate rain will cover the central Plains and portions of the western Midwest Thursday. Dry conditions are in store for the rest of the primary U.S. and Canadian Prairie crop regions. An expansion of the rain area to include the western and southern Plains is still indicated for Thursday night through the weekend. Warm temperatures Thursday will offer favorable crop conditions, especially for planting in northern areas.

Highs: 70s Prairies, Northern Plains; 80s elsewhere with some 90s southwest Oklahoma, northwest Texas and the Carolina-Georgia coast.
