Moderate rainfall covered much of the eastern Dakotas Monday afternoon, and snow was featured in northern Nebraska along with the central and northern Rockies. Meanwhile, thunderstorms with locally heavy rain and potential severe weather covered much of the southeastern Plains, eastern Midwest and Delta. Temperatures ranged from the low 30s in southeastern Wyoming and northeastern Colorado to the low 90s in southwestern Texas.
