Showers and some rain occurred Friday through eastern and southern areas of the Midwest as well as in the Delta and the west part of the southeast U.S. region. Light rain also occurred from northern Minnesota into Ontario, Canada. Mainly dry elsewhere in the key U.S. and Canada crop areas. Temperatures ranged from the 40s in the northern Canadian Prairies and also the northern part of the upper Midwest to the low 90s in the southeast U.S.
