Variable clouds over the Northern Plains and Midwest on Monday with the chance of a few light showers over northern areas. This will generally be a favorable day for fieldwork and planting. Partly to mostly sunny skies across the Southern Plains, Texas and the deep South along with hot temperatures. The is a very stressful situation for winter wheat in the Southern Plains. It is favorable for planting across the lower Mississippi valley and Southeast states where soil moisture is adequate.
