Partly to mostly cloudy skies across the Northern Plains and Midwest states on Friday with some episodes of light rain over northern areas. Not as cold as Thursday along with less wind. This is the beginning of a period of more favorable planting weather in the Midwest. Sunny to partly cloudy skies across the Southern Plains and Texas with less wind and warmer temperatures. Drought and heat stress will increase in the southern plains in the coming days. Partly cloudy skies in the lower Mississippi Valley.
