A few isolated rain showers were noted in the western Great Lakes and Missouri Bootheel Friday afternoon, and light to moderate rain and snow showers dotted the western Canadian Prairies. Otherwise, conditions were dry in the primary U.S. and Prairie crop regions. Temperatures ranged from the upper 30s in southwestern Saskatchewan to the low 90s in central Texas.

During Saturday, light snow and colder conditions will form in the Prairies, and light rain showers will cover the northern and central Midwest. Showers will widen in coverage across the Midwest and the northwestern Plains by Saturday night. Sunday will find more ...
