Thunderstorms with moderate to heavy rain were noted in Illinois and Indiana Wednesday afternoon. Light rain showers were featured in the Delta and a swath of moderate to heavy snow covered much of South Dakota. Snow was also a big feature in the western U.S. Temperatures ranged from the mid-20s in the Dakotas and southern Manitoba to the low 90s in southern Texas.
