Thunderstorms with moderate to heavy rain were noted in Illinois and Indiana Wednesday afternoon. Light rain showers were featured in the Delta and a swath of moderate to heavy snow covered much of South Dakota. Snow was also a big feature in the western U.S. Temperatures ranged from the mid-20s in the Dakotas and southern Manitoba to the low 90s in southern Texas.

On Thursday moderate to heavy rain will continue in the eastern Midwest with light rain in the western Midwest and the Delta and moderate snow from the central Rockies through the northeastern Plains and northern Midwest. Southwest ...
