Snow and strong winds stretched from northeast Colorado and western Nebraska through northern Nebraska and eastern South Dakota and into Minnesota during Tuesday. Rain showers were reported elsewhere in the western Midwest. Light rain also occurred through the middle Atlantic region. It was dry elsewhere in the key U.S. and Canada crop and livestock areas. Temperatures ranged from the 20s through the eastern Canadian Prairies to the 80s in Texas and south Florida.
