Moderate to locally heavy rain will extend from southern Texas east to Georgia Wednesday. A round of light snow in central Texas is also possible. The rest of the primary U.S. and Canadian Prairie crop regions will be dry. Temperatures will generally be well below normal, with bitter cold conditions in the Prairies, Northern Plains, and the northern and central Midwest. This very cold pattern in the northern and central areas remains in effect the rest of this week and will cause further transportation and livestock stress.
