Light snow will move through the Great Lakes Friday, and a mix of rain and (very rare) freezing precipitation and snow will be noted in the Texas-Louisiana coastal bend. The rest of the primary U.S. and Canadian Prairie crop regions will be dry. Temperatures will show significant moderation, but will still be well below normal in the Midwest and South. Plains values see a much milder trend. Conditions remain mild through the weekend ahead of a new round of Arctic cold early next week.
