Areas of light to moderate snow continued in the Great Lakes and eastern Midwest Friday afternoon and a new round of light snow was noted in the far Northern Plains and southern Canadian Prairies. Dry conditions covered the rest of the primary U.S. and Prairie crop regions. Temperatures ranged from the single digits below zero in northern Minnesota to the low 70s in southern Texas.

Saturday will feature cold, blustery and snowy conditions in the northern Midwest. Strong winds and cold conditions will cover the rest of the Midwest through the north-central Plains, with warmer conditions in the Southern Plains. ...
