Light to moderate snow covers the far Northern Plains and northern Midwest Monday afternoon, and rain showers were featured from southern Minnesota and eastern Iowa into western Illinois. Dry conditions dominated the balance of the primary U.S. and Canadian Prairie crop regions. Temperatures ranged from the upper teens in the southern Prairies to the low 80s in central and southern Texas.

Tuesday will be blustery, snowy and cold in the Northern Plains and Prairies. We'll also see a rain and freezing precipitation mix in the northern Midwest and the western Great Lakes. Other areas will be dry and mild. Snow ...
