Dry conditions dominated the primary U.S. and Canadian Prairie crop regions Friday afternoon. Temperatures ranged from the mid-teens in southern Manitoba to the mid-70s in far southern Texas.

Saturday will continue to be dry, with milder temperatures going into the weekend. Forecast guidance indicates a stormy pattern shaping up by the middle of next week in the Rockies and southwestern Plains, with the potential for moderate to locally heavy snow in the intermountain West and the south-central Plains.
