Moderate to heavy rain was noted in the eastern and southern Midwest and Delta Thursday afternoon, and a mix of sleet and snow was featured in the western Midwest and the central and north-central Plains. The rest of the primary U.S. and Canadian Prairie crop regions were dry. Temperatures ranged from zero Fahrenheit in southern Manitoba to the mid-80s in south Texas.
