Light to locally moderate rain and some snow occurred Wednesday through southwest and central areas of the Midwest. Snow showers and squalls were reported in the Northern Plains during the day. Mostly dry elsewhere in the U.S. and Canadian Prairies crop and livestock areas Wednesday. Temperatures ranged from the single numbers in the Canadian Prairies to the low 80s in southern Florida.
