A mix of light rain and snow was noted in North Dakota and northern Minnesota Friday afternoon, and light rain showers were featured in southwestern Texas. Other U.S. and Canadian Prairie crop regions were dry. Temperatures ranged from the mid-20s in southwestern Saskatchewan to the upper 70s in south Texas.

Saturday will be dry in all areas except the northern Great Lakes, where light rain will develop. This drier trend will favor harvest progress during the weekend.
