Light rain will cover the central and Southern Plains through all but the eastern Midwest Wednesday. This rain will disrupt corn harvest while providing additional soil moisture improvement. The rain will work east and southeast into the Delta and eastern Midwest Thursday, with heavy amounts likely.

Highs: 40s/50s Canadian Prairies, northern and central Plains, all but southern Midwest; 60s/70s southern Plains, all but southern Texas, Delta, Southeast; 80s southern Texas, Deep South.
