Light rain was noted from northwestern Kansas north and east to northern Minnesota Friday afternoon and a few thundershowers were featured in southern Texas. Otherwise, dry conditions covered the primary U.S. and Canadian Prairie crop regions. Temperatures ranged from the mid-40s in western Nebraska to the mid-90s in southeastern Texas.

Saturday will feature light to moderate rain in the western Midwest through the southeastern Plains, with a drier trend elsewhere. The showers appear to be fast-moving across the Midwest Saturday and Sunday, with only brief harvest delays.
