Showers with light to locally moderate rain were noted in the western and Southern Plains, Texas Panhandle, and the Deep South Friday afternoon. Dry conditions were in effect over the rest of the primary U.S. and Canadian Prairie crop regions. Temperatures ranged from the mid-50s in the Great Lakes along with the western Plains to the mid-90s in central Texas, the Deep South and Southeast.
