Light rain will develop in the central Plains and northern Midwest Friday. This rain will be accompanied by milder temperatures and some easing of crop stress. Hot conditions are in store elsewhere except for the Delta, where light showers are also on tap.

Highs: 70s Prairies; 80s Northern Plains, northern Midwest, west Texas, Delta/Deep South; 90s elsewhere.
