Light to moderate snow continued Monday afternoon in the eastern Midwest. Dry conditions covered the remainder of the U.S. and Canadian Prairie crop regions. Temperatures ranged from the single digits in Saskatchewan to the mid 60s in south Texas.

Tuesday will find scattered light snow in the eastern Midwest, with a dry and chilly trend elsewhere. Conditions remain unfavorable for soil conditioning for spring field work. In addition, cold temperatures may stress jointing wheat in the southwestern Plains.
