Light snow and snow showers occurred Wednesday through the southwest, central and northeast areas of the Midwest region. Heavier rain and snow was reported through the northeast U.S. Wednesday. The balance of the key U.S. and Canadian Prairies crop and livestock areas were dry. Temperatures ranged from the teens in the Prairies to near 80 in south Texas and south Florida.

Thursday will feature a few more snow showers in the eastern Midwest region. The balance of the U.S. and Canadian Prairies will be dry Thursday. This is a welcome break from recent snow and rain storms for many areas. ...
