Scattered light or very light precipitation occurred Friday from the eastern portion of the Midwest region through the central Appalachian Mountain areas. Light rain lingered in southern Florida. Mainly dry elsewhere in the region U.S. and Canadian Prairies crop and livestock areas Friday. Temperatures ranged the single numbers and teens through the eastern Canadian Prairies and the upper Midwest to the 70s in south Texas and south Florida.
