Moderate to heavy rain continued Monday afternoon in the Deep South and Southeast. A few snow showers in the immediate Great Lakes comprised the only other occurrence of moisture in the primary U.S. and Canadian Prairie crop regions. Temperatures ranged from the mid-teens in southern Manitoba to the low 80s in far south Texas and south Georgia.

Tuesday will feature some light snow in the far southwest Plains and Texas Panhandle, with light to moderate rain over the remainder of the far Southern Plains into the Deep South. This precipitation will offer some benefit, but will not be heavy enough ...
