Light rain showers were noted in portions of Iowa, northern Illinois and Wisconsin Thursday afternoon, and a patch of light snow was featured in northern Nebraska and southern South Dakota. The rest of the main U.S. and Prairie crop regions were dry. Temperatures ranged from the upper teens in southern Manitoba to the upper 70s in south Texas.

Friday will feature light to moderate rain in the eastern Midwest, with some light snow in central South Dakota. Otherwise, dry conditions will prevail going into the weekend.
