Light snow showers were noted in the western Midwest and Great Lakes Monday afternoon, and light rain was also indicated in the southern Delta and Missouri Bootheel. Dry conditions were featured elsewhere in the major U.S. and Prairie crop regions. Temperatures ranged from the single digits in northern Minnesota and southeastern Manitoba to the mid 80s in central and south Texas.

Tuesday will be generally chilly and dry, except for some light rain in the Deep South. This pattern again offers very little in the way of moisture for the central U.S. finishing out the meteorological fall season.
