METEOROLOGICAL DISCUSSION

The upper level analysis today shows a moderate upper level ridge centered over the southern plains but extending northward into the northern plains and eastward into the western Midwest and the western Delta. A second ridge center is located east of Florida today. A moderate short waves trough is moving through far east Canada and the northeast US this morning. A short wave trough is also shown moving over the top of the ridge, located this morning west of Hudson Bay in central Canada.
