OMAHA (DTN) -- A tone of cautious optimism describes the grain market's collective outlook regarding South America crop weather going into the last half of the Southern Hemisphere summer season, and the last half of the Northern Hemisphere winter.

The primary focus for production is on soybean prospects, because of extremely tight world soybean supplies. The area planted in soybeans is higher than last year in both Brazil and Argentina. With at least tolerable conditions overall, the areas appears likely to produce big crops. Brazil soybean production is projected to be at least 80 million metric tons, with Argentina's crop ...
