I am a Canadian farmer! And with that, applause broke out in the room Thursday night as I took part in the TEDx speaking event in Chatham, Kent, Ontario. For those of you who aren't familiar with TED Talks, I advise you to Google that term. I applied for the right to participate in the TEDx event in Chatham and was accepted earlier this year. I didn't think my first line was all that significant, so it was a humbling moment when the room erupted into applause.
