USDA Weekly Crop Progress

OMAHA (DTN) -- The condition of the nation's winter wheat crop was about equal to what it was the same time a year ago, according to USDA's first weekly crop progress report of the season. The report had been scheduled for release on Monday, April 7, but was delayed one day.

Twenty-nine percent of the winter wheat crop was rated in poor to very poor condition during the week ended Sunday, April 6, compared to 30% a year ago, according to the NASS report. Thirty-five percent of the crop was in good to excellent condition, compared to 36% one year ...
