USDA Weekly Crop Progress

OMAHA (DTN) -- Corn condition improved slightly in the week ended Aug. 24, and soybean condition worsened slightly, according to USDA's latest Crop Progress and Condition reports.

Corn is reported as 73% good-to-excellent condition, compared to 72% last week. "USDA's good-to-excellent rating of 73% for corn increased the DTN Corn Condition Index from 175 to 178, which is still up comfortably from 142 a year ago and above the five-year average of 121.2," said DTN Analyst Todd Hultman.
