AUBURN, Ill. (DTN) -- Route 66 is all about the nostalgia of small towns, the open road and cars. Just about every town with a grasp of tourism has a Corvette show or motorcycle festival sometime during the summer.

Nostalgia and a little highway tourism can be great unless you are a farmer trying to move a semi-truck of grain down a piece of brick road kept intact to reflect a lost era in American life.
