Matt and Sherrie Kay Miles waltzed into the soybean record books holding hands and smiling last fall. The McGehee, Ark., farm family rose to the top of a state soybean yield contest with their 107.63 bushel-per-acre entry.

Two other Arkansas farmers hit the 100-bushel contest goal. Eddie Tackett, of Atkins, hauled in 104.832 bushels per acre, and Nelson Crow, of Dumas, had 100.82 bushels per acre. The top yields were part of the Arkansas Soybean Promotion Board's Race for 100 program.
