Spot ethanol prices eased in the New York Harbor while holding steady in muted activity across the rest of the nation's regional trade hubs. This was after the Energy Information Administration's data showed ethanol stocks rising 200,000 bbl to 15.2 million bbl last week despite production at U.S. plants being throttled back 9,000 bpd or 1% to 902,000 bpd.

November ethanol barge at the New York Harbor was talked at $1.94 per gallon, down 1.0 cents on the day, while prompt delivered ethanol at Argo hub near Chicago was discussed unchanged at $1.70 gallon.
