SCOTUS Denies E15 Case

OMAHA (DTN) -- The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday announced it will not hear an American Petroleum Institute plea to strike down the Obama administration's decision to allow the sale of E15. The move effectively ends the legal challenges to E15, a fuel seen as a way for the ethanol industry to overcome the so-called blend wall.

The American Fuel and Petrochemical Manufacturers, Alliance of Automobile Manufactures and the Grocery Manufacturers Association each petitioned the Supreme Court to review the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia's Circuit decision Aug. 22, 2012, that upheld EPA's E15 waiver.
